Cafe Racer TV approached us for season 3 and told us what Eric Bostrom wanted to do to a brand new 2012 Kawasaki Z1000 naked bike.  He wanted to make it look like an old school 70′s Kawasaki race bike.  Since Gary Nixon’s passing he wanted to make it a tribute bike to the great legend.  Him and his brother Toren were going to build it out of his garage, I saw some of the pictures of what he wanted to do and realized he needed much help with achieving the look he wanted.  I volunteered my services on creating the one off gas tank and bodywork and make billet wheels which mimicked the vintage Kawi mags from the 70′s.

Making the XR1200 a little better looking, we think!  Added our dual pipes, our prototype 1″ Clubman bars(coming soon), Joker Machine billet signals and we completely reshaped the the tail section and sucked in the light and license plate before we re-upholstered the seat.

Cafe Racer TV approached us for season 2 and asked if we would team up with Yoshi from Garage Company for a build together.  Of course I couldn’t pass up working with him on a build.  I supplied the RD400 rolling chassis and Yoshi supplied the RD350 motor and we never really discussed how we were going to build the bike after then.  I did all the frame fab and bodywork and mocked up the bike then handed it off to him to put the front end on, build the motor and one off exhaust system.  Then we got it back and I laid out the paint design and sprayed it and did the upholstery.  After everything was done we met up at Willow Springs raceway to do the test ride with Eric and Ben Bostrom.  They loved the way the bike was set up and handled around the small Horse Thief Mile coarse.

As promised last week, we’d like to introduce our latest T-Shirt design. Not only is it a nice graphic (if we do say so ourselves) but it’s a great t-shirt as well. This isn’t your dad’s Beefy T. No, this is an American Apparel tri-blend. It’s cut a little slim so it will hug that spare tire just right, but it won’t shrink up too much so you won’t have that crop top look in few washes.
